During the past few weeks, at Royal School in Transylvania we have fully embraced the holiday’s spirit. As every day we are lucky to exchange ideas, impressions and traditions that each of us brings from their own country, religion or family, besides discovering them through the decorations and Christmas activities or projects, we also remembered the importance of empathy when someone is in need, the importance of giving when someone can afford to, the importance of compassion and gratitude.

Without hesitating and displaying an immeasurable sense of community, our students rallied together for a cause close to our hearts: they have taken part in the Help Me Learn Charity Event, generously donating clothing items and shoes, toys, stationery, books and much more to the pupils in Școala Gimnazială “Traian Dârjan”. Over 100 attentively wrapped boxes, bags or even backpacks, all filled with love and joy, have found a new home.

The gifts have brought a priceless smile to the children just on time for a special evening celebrated on the 5th of December across Eastern and Western Europe, Saint Nicholas Eve, which gave us all a chance to find within ourselves the warm feeling that comes with a simple action of pure kindness that shows how much we care and how we could help others: to give.

Thank you for your involvement and contributions, carrying on Saint Nicholas’ reputation as a bringer of gifts in addition to being the most beloved Christian bishop and patron of children. Your gesture certainly made a huge difference!
