Daniel is dedicated to helping students develop their own individual musical taste while broadening their horizons. He has five years’ experience teaching the IGCSE music course in Romania, and has given lectures on his music at universities in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and London.
Daniel’s 90-minute soundtrack for Alfred Hitchcock’s first silent film The Pleasure Garden, commissioned as part of the British Film Institute’s “Rescue the Hitchcock 9” project, has been performed live at film festivals around the world – including at Bánffy Castle as part of Cluj’s own TIFF (Transilvania International Film Festival).
When not teaching he continues to work on various musical projects with local musicians, and he strongly encourages students to take advantage of the vibrant musical life in the city.
