Biography
David graduated from the universities of Valladolid (Spain) and Rome (Italy) in History and Art History. Being a devoted musician since he was a kid, he got a scholarship from the prestigious Saint Louis College of Music in Rome (Italy) where he got a Diploma in Jazz and Contemporary music Guitar. He also got a Master’s Degree in IT for Education from the International University of La Rioja (Spain), a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from INESEM (Spain) and a Master of Museums and Museology from the University of Nebrija (Spain). Interested in politics and public speaking, he has been involved in debate competitions both as a student (Spanish National Debate Competition winner in 2000) and as a teacher, running different debate clubs and debate competitions around the world.
Although his first professional endeavours were as a professional musician, his career as a teacher spans already for two decades, and he has been teaching and having different leadership roles under the Spanish, American and British curricula in Spain, Italy, Azerbaijan, and now Romania.
David strongly believes in a holistic education, which includes considering education as a life-long activity that implies being curious and passionate about anything. He things teacher’s main job is to spark the flame of curiosity for wisdom on the students’ brains, rather than filing them with information, and he tries to transmit his passion for literature (specially poetry), art, music, politics, photography and debating to his students, so they could become XXI century citizens, critical and free-thinkers.
