Biography
“I spend my life building the world I want to live in.” – Robin Chase
Learn: She was born in Romania, where she studied Applied Modern Languages – German and English – at Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu
After travelling and living abroad for a while, she decided to move to England and achieved her Spanish qualification at Hallam Sheffield University, and in 2013 completed her teaching degree at Goldsmith, University of London. Oana spent the last ten years teaching English and Languages in three outstanding schools in the UK. This year, the Department for Education in England awarded her the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teacher Development.
Why: She has always been keen to: develop and promote Oracy using the power of language, develop cultural capital and keep her students informed of current affairs.
Create: A great passion of hers is Teaching and Learning, in particular developing CDP for staff to ensure that students get opportunities that are fair, equal and adapted to their needs for learning across the board.
Live: When she am not teaching, she loves reading fiction, going to comic-cons, hiking and playing basketball badly.
