He was born in the United Kingdom, however, he spent a large proportion of his formative years learning in international schools in Europe. He returned to his homeland to complete a B.A at the University of Hull, before achieving an M.A in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. After finishing his teacher training qualification in Birmingham, he has held multiple leadership roles that focus on developing and creating a culture of excellence, and his most recent role was as a senior leader at a school just outside of London.
Having joined RS in 2021 as the Head of English, he stepped up to become Head of Secondary later that same year, before becoming the Head of School in September 2022. He believes strongly in working to allow all students to flourish, creating systems and strategies that focus on high expectations and pride in everything that happens in school. He completed his NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headteachers) in September 2023, with a particular focus on school culture.
